The Halligen are small marsh islands in the Wadden Sea, which are completely flooded several times a year. Thanks to the terps - artificial mounds - the islands can be inhabited all year round. You and your bike take the ferry to Hallig Hooge, the largest Hallig in the North Sea. In the storm surge cinema, you can experience a typical storm surge on a large screen. Enjoy the unique landscape before taking the ferry back to the mainland.

The exhibition offers insights into the life and work of one of the most important painters of Expressionism. On quiet paths you cycle relaxed through meadows and fields to Niebüll. From Dagebüll you cycle directly along the coast. Take a detour to the Hamburger Hallig (+ 8 km) on the way. The small peninsula is very easy to reach by bike. At the end of the Hallig, a restaurant invites you to stay a while and enjoy the views. In Husum, your destination for the day, the town's most famous son, Theodor Storm, is commemorated at every turn. The writer once described Husum as a gray town by the sea.
