There really is another side to Majorca. Just imagine: picturesque, quiet bays with turquoise water and fine, white sand. Countless almond trees surrounded by vibrantly-coloured meadows blooming and creating a beautiful scent. Monasteries and pilgrimage churches, castles and dreamlike fincas in the sun - there are plenty of gems to discover in the hinterland that have not yet been discovered by mass tourism. The plains and rolling hills that are located inland, as well as by the east coast, are spoiled by the climate making them ideal for our bike tours. Expect to see varied scenery ranging from small sandy bays and pine-covered rocky coastlines to windmills, olive groves and almond trees.

Speaking of luggage – you won't need to concern yourself with it during your tour. This Eurobike tour entails your entire journey being based in a single hotel, with daily excursions departing from there. Regarding the daily stages, you'll have flexibility because the choice of which day to visit specific destinations is often up to you. The luxurious Barefoot Hotel is located in the charming town of Portocolom on Majorca's east coast.

Five daily stages will take you through various locations, including the Mondragó Natural Park to Cala d’Or, the historic small town of Artà, and the enchanting coastal town of Santanyi. Here, you can take a break at the beach or explore the architecturally intriguing old town. On your way to the famous Dragon Caves, consider taking a break at the port of Porto Cristo. Along the route to Felanitx, you can decide whether you want to ascend Puig de Sant Salvador – the view from there is breathtaking!

  • Majorcan culture and cuisine: Enjoy the Mediterranean atmosphere and the delicious island cuisine to the fullest. Are you familiar with Arroz Brut, Pa amb Oli, and Sobrasada? Find out – and accompany them with Majorcan wine, followed by a piece of almond cake for dessert.
  • The Dragon Caves at Porto Cristo: The Coves del Drac constitute the largest cave system in Majorca. The stalactite formations exude an especially mystical quality. The crystal-clear Martel Lake within the cave is simply breathtaking and can be crossed by boat.
  • The Mondragó Natural Park: One could easily mistake she Mondragó Bay for the Caribbean. Sparkling turquoise waters and the finest white sands create a paradise on Earth.

Cycling in Majorca is marked by stunning views, historical architecture, and the warmth of the locals. The route includes hilly terrain, but it can be easily tackled with a reasonable level of fitness. The tour to Felanitx is the most challenging leg of the entire journey. After a hearty breakfast at the Barefoot Hotel each day, you'll set out on the 35 to 55-kilometer stages, well-prepared and equipped.

When Spain is the destination of your dreams then explore our cycling tours in this diverse country, whether it's in Majorca, Andalusia, or the Costa Blanca.
