The Imperial Spas on Usedom

Islands, sea, and charming towns: the Baltic Sea is truly a heavenly destination. On this eight-day vacation, you'll explore two of its most famous and beautiful islands: Rügen and Usedom. The cities of Stralsund, Binz, and Ueckermünde will captivate you with their charm. Along the way, you'll stop at picturesque sandy beaches and immerse yourself in stunning natural surroundings. Enjoy breathtaking views of the sea and coastline from the expansive beaches—it's like a dream!

Maritime flair awaits you in Stralsund, the starting point of your journey. You'll reach Germany's largest island by train, and the first few kilometers of cycling will take you through Binz and Sellin to Göhren. Treat yourself to a day off the next day—the Mönchgut Peninsula is perfect for unwinding! Day 4 offers a change of scenery. A historic train will take you to Putbus, after which you'll cycle to Glewitz and take the ferry back to the mainland.

As you approach the island of Usedom along the Baltic coast, you'll cross the Peene Bridge after spending the night in Wolgast. Along the route, you'll encounter beautiful seaside resorts and beaches. The journey then takes you across the Szczecin Lagoon to Ueckermünde, where you can once again enjoy the fine sand beneath your feet and the breeze in your hair.

  • Stroll through the picturesque old town of Stralsund: Explore the enchanting city, characterized by its striking brick buildings. Visit the impressive town hall, St. Mary's Church, the German Oceanographic Museum, and the exciting Ozeaneum. The maritime ambiance is sure to captivate you!
  • The Mönchgut peninsula: The natural paradise in the south-east of the island of Rügen is distinguished by picturesque coastal landscapes, idyllic villages, expansive beaches, and diverse flora and fauna.
  • Baltic bliss in Binz: This renowned Baltic Sea resort on the island of Rügen is celebrated for its striking resort architecture and extensive sandy beaches. Be sure to take a leisurely stroll along the pier and explore nearby Lake Schmachter.
  • History meets the contemporary on Usedom: The imperial seaside resorts on Usedom—Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf, and Bansin—charm visitors with their magnificent spa architecture, historical allure, and top-notch recreational facilities. Of course, the picturesque beaches here are also enchanting.

In addition to exploring the islands and coast during your eight-day journey, you'll also traverse some inland cycling routes. Expect a mix of flat coastal areas and hilly terrain. Train and ferry rides provide a delightful change of pace with fantastic views. Remember to pack functional clothing, especially in summer as Northern Germany can be a little windy.

Beach, sea, and well-maintained cycle paths—what’s not to love about the Baltic Sea Cycle Path? Many of our customers share the same enthusiasm. Picturesque harbors and fascinating Hanseatic cities add to the beauty of the scenery.
