The province along the coast with numerous islands and peninsulas accompanies you until Day 4.

After spending a night in the fortress city of Willemstad, you'll cycle through the De Biesbosch National Park, where a fascinating flora and fauna await you. • The Zeeland coast: With its offshore islands and peninsulas, Zeeland is a picturesque idyll with beautiful beaches and a paradise for water sports enthusiasts. Enjoy the regional cuisine here, which is influenced by the fruits of the sea.
  • From canals to the red light in Amsterdam: The canals of Amsterdam create a distinctive atmosphere, providing a unique experience during a boat tour through the city's waterways. Enriched with culture, the Dutch capital has an abundance to offer, be it exploring numerous museums, taking part in festivals, or venturing into the Red Light District.

Itinerary at a glance

Bruges with its medieval city center is the pearl of Flanders, and Amsterdam is always well worth a visit. In Zeeland, you'll be hopping from island to island. In the De Biesbosch National Park, you'll find the fascinating freshwater tidal area.

The Venice of the North delights with its old town and canals. Situated in the middle of the beautiful Flanders countryside, Bruges is the most attractive city in the region. The city centre was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000.

From Bruges you start your cycling tour through the beautiful landscape of West Flanders. At Knokke-Heist you reach the coast, which will now accompany you for a short distance. Extensive sandy beaches invite you to take a dip in the cool water again and again. At the end of the day, a ferry will take you to Zeeland. The maritime town of Vlissingen is your next overnight stop. The sunset is particularly beautiful during an evening stroll along the sea promenade.

You will spend the day in the province of Zeeland, whose rich nature and long history will amaze you. Beautiful beaches with crystal clear water often accompany you along the route. Culinary delights include fresh mussels and crabs from the sea, and those interested in art and culture will find numerous museums. In Zierikzee, there are over 500 monuments to marvel at and shopping fans will find numerous small boutiques.

The first stretch of today’s tour takes you through Zeeland again before you cross over to the province of North Brabant. There will be no shortage of opportunities for swimming stops today, and you will find beaches, sun and delicious food around every corner. Willemstad is your next overnight stop. The historic fortress town has hardly changed since 1585.

Today’s stage takes you to De Biesbosch National Park; a unique labyrinth of small rivers and streams stretching over 8,000 hectares. In this water kingdom, you can observe numerous bird species as well as beavers. The tranquillity of the untouched nature guarantees deceleration. Contrast this with the hustle and bustle of Dordrecht: In Holland's oldest city, there are over 1,000 monuments to marvel at, and there is always something going on in the picturesque alleys of the city centre.

Today you will discover the impressive windmills of Kinderdijk. These 19 buildings are among the most photographed motifs in Holland. In the three museum windmills, you can learn all kinds of interesting facts about their origins. Situated between historic drawbridges and picturesque streams, you will also be impressed by the water-rich nature. The stage destination Gouda is not only known for its delicious cheese - you should also try the syrup waffles here. There are many historic buildings to visit in the city centre.

On your last cycling stage, you will roam through the green heart of the Netherlands. A vast natural area, alternating with towns and picturesque villages. You will find everything that is so typical of Holland: cheese, windmills, grazing cows, historic country estates and quaint farms where the old craftsmanship still prevails. The destination of your cycle tour is Amsterdam. The Dutch metropolis cannot be explored in one evening.

After breakfast, your cycling holiday from Belgium to Holland comes to an end. There is much to discover in the capital of the Netherlands. We are happy to book an extension for you, or you can avail of the optional return transfer with our bike bus to Bruges.
