The Enns Cycle Path is one of Austria's most popular cycling routes, which is why we've dedicated an eight-day tour to explore it. Spanning approximately 265 kilometers, it starts at the source of the Enns in the Radstädter Tauern and continues to its confluence with the Danube at Mauthausen. The river's transformation from serene to roaring is truly captivating. This route guides you through picturesque landscapes and historic towns, offering a fantastic opportunity to experience the beauty of Upper Austria, Salzburg, and Styria by bike.

Your cycling journey begins in Radstadt, nestled in the mountainous region of Salzburg. Enjoy the breathtaking panorama as your first stage takes you into Styria. Riding along the Dachstein Massif, you'll head to Schladming and continue to Gröbming. The next day, you'll cycle through the river valley to Admont, home to the splendid Benedictine Abbey. Passing through the Gesäuse National Park, you'll spend a night in St. Gallen before being greeted with a warm "Grias eich!" in Upper Austria.

The Kalkalpen National Park offers unparalleled beauty, with dense forests and towering mountains lining the route. As you journey from Großraming to Steyr, delve into the history of the Enns with fascinating museums along the way. Finally, where the Enns meets the Steyr in the town of Steyr, it continues to flow into the Danube. Conclude your tour with a visit to Linz.
