At Eurobike, 2022 is all about our 30th anniversary as a company. Throughout the year we celebrate our milestone jubilee with a variety of activities.
As the highlight of the anniversary year, we have planned a big festivity weekend at our company location in Obertrum, to which we have invited our business partners, company founders, colleagues, long-term companions, regular customers, but of course also our families, friends and neighbours from the region. And so, on 10th & 11th September guests from all over Europe came to Obertrum to toast a special success story with us.
But before we could start celebrating, there was a lot of work to do: preparations for our anniversary celebrations had been going on for months. Finally, the guest list had to be drawn up, the invitations sent out and proper advertising done. In the days before the festivities, the tension rose again significantly. Everywhere in, at and in front of the company building, people worked, decorated, wrapped gifts, set up the tent and stage, installed the bar, coordinated the buffet and wrote the action plan. The anticipation of the festival was huge among all colleagues and volunteers. Then finally it all started!
30 years of Eurobike – Now it is time to celebrate!
The festive weekend started with the anniversary celebration on Saturday, to which we invited long-standing business partners and companions, company founders, regular customers, our advertising models and all employees of Eurofun Touristik. Around 250 guests from all over Europe come to the marquee in Obertrum, including the managing directors of the 13 companies in the Eurofun Group. Not only do they all bring colourful, funny and creative birthday presents, but also lots of memories, anecdotes and joy at seeing each other again in Obertrum.
Even before the ‚official‘ part of the celebrations, the mood is exuberant, cheerful, full of laughter and good conversations. There is a lot to discover: the company building that sparkles in fresh splendor, the photo box that provides funny snapshots and all the familiar faces that you can finally meet in person again.

Shortly before 5pm, the places in the tent fill up, because then the ‚official‘ part of the celebrations started. Before that, the guests were able to get an idea for themselves on exciting tours of our company buiding, how the work is done on site and what has changed in three decades.
As part of the speech, the Eurobike managing directors Verena Sonnenberg and Thomas Schmid presented the company founders Herbert Würtinger and Walter Schmid with a lifelong voucher for cycle holidays with Eurobike. Thunderous applause accompanies our successful team. Emotional highlight: the premiere of the Eurobike anniversary film, which shows the development of the cycle holiday brand from the beginnings to the present day in moving images. When you look through the tent, you notice that one or the other person has welled up. Impressions that touch the heart!

After that our presenters Mike and Andi make the announcement most awaited at every party: The bar and buffet are open!
As a tribute to our home country, we have conjured up a ‚culinary journey through Austria‘ at the buffet for our guests. And so the anniversary celebrations with snacks and fried chicken, roast pork and sweet cheese strudel as well as musical entertainment by the singer & songwriter "Roman Schwendt & Band" went well into the night.
We all agree: 30 years of Eurobike – That was a terrific party!
Sunday was all about family, friends, neighbours and guests of honor from politics and business, who gathered together for an atmospheric cyclists‘ brunch in the marquee in Obertrum. Even if the weather gods are not kind to us and bring a lot of rain and wind, around 400 guests would not miss celebrating a happy birthday party with us for the world.
Everyone meets in the tent from 10am over ‚Weißwurst‘-sausages and pretzels and the rain is quickly forgotten. Here people laugh, chat, celebrate, play and sometimes sway to and fro, since Obertrum‘s traditional brass band leads through the program musically and has ensured a great atmosphere. Company founder Walter Schmid and managing director Thomas Schmid then take turns conducting the musicians on stage.
30 years of Eurobike – Moments that will never be forgotten!
Parallel to the cyclists‘ morning get-together, we invited everyone to an ‚Open Day‘ to our company building. The interest in the company tours is huge and the conclusion of the participants is clear: ‚It is impressive what the team, which now consists of 70 employees, is able to achieve and how much heart, commitment and passion everyone puts into their work.‘
The ice cream truck, the painting opportunity in the tent and naturally the huge cake buffet with homemade treats from our families, friends and employees ensure that children are having a fantastic time too. A big THANK YOU to all cake donations!
We would also like to say thank you to the community of Obertrum, which has been a home for us as a company for many years. On both days of the festivities we were able to collect donations of 3.000 Euros for the youth club work in Obertrum.
