30 Years of Eurobike Team Spirit

Company trips

It is definitely one of the team highlights of every year in the company: the company trip. Every year as the crowning glory of the active travel season at the end of October, the management invites all employees to a big outing over several days to a beautiful region in Europe taken from our program. There we cycle, hike, eat and celebrate together. A comfortable hotel, a brilliant activity schedule, delicious food and plenty of time to talk and have fun with colleagues awaits us every time.

From the familiar Salzkammergut region via the Wachau, Southern Styria and Maishofen, all the way to Merano, Bolzano, Lake Garda and even to Mallorca, we had the pleasure to travel together as a team on wonderful cycling and hiking paths. Delicious regional dishes energise body and mind and we get to know country and people of our respective excursion destination better. While we were en route with only a handful of employees in the early years, today we have over 50 participants embarking on this tour together each year.

Sporting events

We put our heart and soul into cycling and hiking holidays and naturally we also like to be active and sporty in our private lives. Therefore joint sporting events with colleagues also play a major role in our everyday life as a team. Playing football, running, skiing, cycling – we experience many hobbies together. Winter Sports Days, cycling excursions or hobby tournaments of our company football team "Eurofighter" have a fixed spot in the annual company calendar.

A very special sporting event that we have been involved in for many years is the Lake Grabensee-Run here in the Salzburg Lake District. Every running enthusiast from our company can take part and, divided into teams of 3, compete in the short-distance run over 4.2 kilometres in Perwang on Lake Grabensee. In addition to ambition, the focus is of course also on having fun together and sheer glee over a spot on the winner’s podium. With Eurobike we are also one of the sponsors of the Lake Grabensee-Run every year, since after all it is a running event for charity!

Summer Parties

In summer naturally a marvellous summer fête should not be missing. And we usually celebrate that at our company location in Obertrum. Since the region, the meadows, forests and fields around our Eurofun buiding are a wonderful spot, especially in summer, to sit together enjoying a BBQ, delicious snacks and fruity cocktails and marvelling at the sunset.

At our annual summer party, it is traditional for all employees to take part. A potluck of homemade salads and cakes, cocktails are mixed, we decorate our terrace together and the place behind the BBQ is particularly popular with the male team colleagues. Since there and at the cozy tables and benches in the sunshine, people meet, chat and relax together over a sundowner in deck chairs.

Even more fun as a team

In addition to the big team activities such as company outings, summer parties and the annual Lake Grabensee-Run, we also celebrate a lot of small, spontaneous events because it is simply important to us to regularly spend time together outside of work, to strengthen the team spirit and to appreciate each other. Anyone who has worked for us for 5, 10 or more years will be honored with a present at the summer party. We also take part in the Carnival celebrations and look forward to the colourful, creative costumes of the individual teams every year. And what else are we celebrating? Christmas parties, team barbecues and, as the big highlight of 2022, our 30th Eurobike anniversary with an exuberant jubilee party weekend in Obertrum.
